Zoo Atlanta officials say they're still searching for an owl that flew away from his trainers over the weekend.

Zoo spokeswoman Keisha Hines says Soren, a male barn owl, flew away from handlers during a Sunday training session and may no longer be wearing tracking equipment. He was last seen on Cherokee Avenue in Grant Park.

Hines says the owl has the survival skills to find food until zoo officials find him.
Hines says Soren is about 10 inches tall, is wearing leather anklets on each leg and a gold band on his left leg.

Zoo officials have said the owl isn't a danger to humans or pets and he may come to the ground to search for food. Hines says anyone who sees him should call the zoo's security team at (404) 624-5670.
