This week Bill Dawers, Savannah Morning News columnist and writer/editor for Savannah Unplugged and Hissing Lawns, and Bevin Valentine, co-editor of Paprika Southern, joined us to take a look at what’s coming up for the weekend in Savannah. It’s going to be a busy Friday.

Bevin’s picks:

-Scribble Art Studio will host a book launch Friday for Amanda Kingloff’s “Project Kid,” complete with crafts for kids. Friday, 5-7 p.m.; free

-A multimedia art exhibition - including interactive video, audio, and trash sculptures - currently open at Fresh Exhibitions will have its opening reception Friday. Artist Jessica Henry will also host a community garden event at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the W.W. Law Library.

Bill’s picks:

-Friday’s SCAD New Alumni concert in Forsyth Park, featuring Mutemath, Lucero, and Bret Dennen. Friday, 7 p.m.; free

-Later on Friday, local favorite Cusses will play the Jinx with Crazy Bag Lady and COEDs. Friday, 10 p.m.; $8

-Next door at Barrel House South, funk group Royal Noise will also perform Friday.
