Mercer University football comes home this Saturday after two victorious weekends away. The Bears will take on the Jacksonville University Dolphins, who could pose a challenge.

Mercer is 8-1 on the season and undefeated at home while Jacksonville sits at 4-5 and 1-4 on the road.

But the Dolphins do have the top offense in the Pioneer League by points. That hasn’t exactly helped them win many games, though.

This’ll be Mercer’s first home game in three weeks. Fans are being encouraged to wear all black for a “blackout” for the 3 p.m. kickoff.

Mercer is a half game away from a Pioneer League title, despite this being the team's first year.
