Georgia Congressmen are taking to Twitter and YouTube to get their messages out about the federal government shutdown.

The budget impasse has furloughed many lawmakers' press officers.

The GOP's Austin Scott says federal workers will return to their jobs when President Obama talks with Republicans about the health care law.

"I think that's up to the President," Scott says. "I think that the sooner the President fulfills his obligation to negotiate in good faith then the sooner the shutdown comes to an end."

Democrat Sanford Bishop sent out a video denouncing Republicans for an effort to fund parts of the government but not others.

Another from Jack Kingston blamed the shutdown on the Democratic Senate.
