Georgia State Police said they were searching for two drivers accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Walton County that left a 16-year-old boy dead Tuesday morning.

Authorities have said Jacob Little was killed when he was hit by three cars outside Monroe Area High School. Only one of the three drivers who struck the teen stopped, Georgia State Patrol officials have said.

Little was on his way to school when he fell off a skateboard and was hit when he went to retrieve it, investigators have said.

The boy was riding his skateboard along the shoulder of North Broad Street and was knocked into the opposite lane when he tried retrieving it, police said. The next car hit Little a second time and knocked him back into the other lane, where he was hit for a third time, police said.

Troopers believe the teen was hit first by a silver Honda, then a Ford Ranger pickup truck and then by a tan Chevrolet Tahoe. Authorities say the Honda, which possibly has front-end damage, and the Tahoe left the scene.

Tipsters are asked to call the Walton County Sheriff's Office, 770-267-2391, or the Georgia State Patrol in Monroe, 770-464-1800.
