City councilors in an Atlanta suburb is expected to discuss expanding the area where electronic billboards are allowed.

The Marietta City Council is set to take up the matter during committee meetings Wednesday night.

The city's current zoning rules prohibit any new billboards from going up in the city unless they are within 100 feet of Interstate 75.

In April, the council started discussing options for expansion along Cobb Parkway and the State Route 120 Loop.

Marietta is just northwest of Atlanta.
