Black Ice Possible Thursday Night

The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures will fall below freezing from a line north of Columbus and Macon on Thursday night.   It is possible that due to wet conditions, black ice may form on roadways. (image courtesy of the National Weather Service)

The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures will fall below freezing from a line north of Columbus and Macon on Thursday night.

It is possible that due to wet conditions, black ice may form on roadways. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution Thursday night and Friday morning.

A mix of rain and snow is possible Thursday night from Rome north. The National Weather Service says there could be up to a half inch of accumulation on grassy and elevated areas.
