Democratic US Representative John Barrow has not yet spoken to his supporters.

The race between them has attracted more than $5 million in mostly negative political ad spending and national news media to the East Georgia 12th District.

Barrow is ahead in the unofficial results, 53% to 46% with 17 of 19 counties reporting.
