A conference on school safety is set this week at the University of Georgia's Tifton Campus.

U.S. Attorney Michael J. Moore is teaming up with Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Georgia Department of Education officials to present the third annual Safety in Our Schools conference. The event is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday.

Teachers, school resource officers, local law enforcement officers and emergency responders will have a chance to get 14 hours of training during the conference.

Topics will include: drug endangered children, safety and security at athletic events, bullying, hazing, cyber safety, cell phone search and seizure, a Georgia gang update, school crisis prevention and intervention, bus safety issues, bomb threat management and youth dating violence.
