The Bibb County Board of Education has passed the Macon Miracle plan. Five board members voted in favor of it and three against. Superintendent Romain Dallemand introduced his strategic plan in an effort to improve public schools in Bibb County. Parts of the original plan including; closing 12 schools, reconfiguring grades and laying off teachers were removed. Others like free home internet access and Mandarin Chinese instruction for students remained. Officials did not say when implementation of the plan would begin or how they would pay for it.
