A photo ID issued by a college would be enough to prove a resident was eligible to vote under a bill being debated by Georgia lawmakers.

State Rep. Alisha Morgan (D-Austell) has proposed adding student identification cards to the list of acceptable ID cards so long as they include a photo.

A House committee is scheduled to consider her bill during a meeting Monday.

Residents can now meet the state's voter ID requirement by showing a Georgia driver's license, a voter ID card, a U.S. passport or a military or tribal ID.
