WORKING: Promotion Without Pay

Updated: 3 years ago.
We’re all being asked to do more with less. (Read: be more “productive.”) So what do you do when you’re offered a promotion and new responsibilities, but without a pay bump? (Photo Courtesy of Tim Patterson via Flickr.)

Productivity has been a big buzz word during the recent recession and sluggish recovery.

So imagine being offered that promotion you have been wanting, complete with more responsibility and maybe even a new title. Sounds good...until you find out there’s no extra money to go with it.

More of Brandon’s advice is on his website, theworkplacetherapist.com. And while you’re there, ask him your workplace or career question. We might even use your question on a future radio segment.
