Come this fall, general issue license plates will have a new design.

State officials Monday unveiled the colorful design featuring four orange peaches, a green field, blue sky, and a tree with pink blossoms.

It says “Peach State” and “Georgia” across the top.

Georgians cast hundreds of thousands of votes to select the winning design from three finalists.

The new plate saves taxpayers from having to go to a county tag office to renew plates. They can renew it online.

Drivers will still have the option of having a plain license plate.
