Little Leaguers Start Championship

A baseball team from Warner Robins is preparing to play a team from Lafayette, La., in the first round of the Little League World Series.

The Georgia team is representing the Southeast in a game set for 8 p.m. Thursday in Williamsport, Pa.

The 14 members of the Warner Robins American Little League team left Georgia Sunday for Pennsylvania.

The Warner Robins team went 5-0 during the Little League Baseball Southeastern Region Tournament earlier this month to earn a trip to the Little League World Series.
