Forecasters are warning of dangerous heat for much of Georgia today. The National Weather Service has put in-place a heat advisory that goes into effect from 11 Tuesday morning until 5am Wednesday.

High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 90s statewide on Tuesday, with some triple digit readings possible. The northeast Georgia mountains may stay in the upper 80s for highs. There is the chance of a stray afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

Tonight will bring lows in the 70s under partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be much like Tuesday's forecast, with highs mainly in the mid to upper 90s.
