The world’s longest yard sale gets underway Friday.

The 7th annual “Peaches to Beaches” yard sales spans 200 miles.

It starts in Barnesville northwest of Macon and follows Highway 341 through 12 counties to coastal Brunswick.

The scenic route is known as the Golden Isles Parkway.

The yard sale event was started in 2005 to promote tourism in the smaller communities off Highway 341.

It lasts through Saturday.
