The Department of Transportation will have to explain their response to the snow storm that left much of the state paralyzed last week.

Governor Nathan Deal says he’ll meet with the commissioner and transportation board members this week.

“Let’s figure out what went wrong, why it went wrong and make sure it won’t happen again.”

The storm clean up cost the state over 6 million dollars.

Deal says setting aside extra emergency road money isn’t likely in these tight budget times. He says he also favors hiring more private contractors next time around rather than buying more trucks.
