Another morning of extreme cold has settled over the state on this Tuesday. As of 7am, temperature readings range from the low teens in extreme north Georgia to the low to mid 20’s in south Georgia.

There are wind chill readings in the single digits for parts of the state. As of 8am, temperature readings ranged from the low teens in extreme north Georgia to the low to mid 20’s in south Georgia.

Due to the frigid temperatures, there are a handful of north Georgia county school systems closed to students today: Fannin, Gilmer, Pickens, Rabun, Towns, and Union county schools are closed.
