Allatoona at Ridgeland

Ridgeland and Allatoona enter the game with identical records of 8-1 overall and 5-0 in Regions 7A-AAA and 7B-AAA, respectively. Allatoona's loss came at the hands of Dalton on Sept. 17. Ridgeland's loss occurred on Sept. 3 to Allatoona in the regular-season matchup, when the Buccaneers beat the Panthers 17-14. This game will decide the Region 7-AAA champion. This would be the first championship for Allatoona after posting non-winning records in their first two seasons of play. Ridgeland would win its third region championship, though this would be its first in 7-AAA. The Panthers won Region 6-AAA in 2008 and 2009.

Baldwin at Peach County

Top-ranked Peach County welcomes No. 5 Baldwin Friday night in a battle for the Region 2-AAA championship. Both teams are 9-0 overall and 8-0 in the region. Peach County won Region 1-AAA last year on its way to a 15-0 record and Class AAA state championship. This would be the Trojans' sixth region championship in the last 10 years. Baldwin is also coming off a region championship. The Braves claimed the Region 3-AAA title in 2008 and 2009. Baldwin won the 2008 meeting between the two, while Peach County claimed the 2009 contest. Prior to 2008, the schools had not played since the 1983 season.

Charlton County at Clinch County

The Region 2-A title will be decided Friday night when fifth-ranked Charlton County plays No. 1 Clinch County at The Boneyard. Charlton County enters the game with an 8-1 overall record and a 6-1 regional record, with their only loss coming at the hands of region opponent Wilcox County. The Indians will be looking for their first Region 2-A title since 1999, having moved down this year from Class AA, where they won the last four titles. Clinch County is undefeated and is looking to win their new region, having won six of the last eight Region 1-A titles.

Clarke Central at Flowery Branch

It will be a battle of two undefeated teams Friday night as the Clarke Central Gladiators play the Flowery Branch Falcons at Falcon Field for the Region 8-AAAA title. Clarke Central enters the game ranked third in the state with Flowery Branch right behind them at No. 5. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. A victory by the Glads would give them their first region championship since 2003, while a Flowery Branch win would give them their first regional title of any kind, though they have made the state playoffs the last five years.

Eagle's Landing Christian at Wesleyan

The No. 2 Wesleyan Wolves welcome the No. 3 Eagle's Landing Christian Chargers to Henderson Stadium Friday night, as the two division champs play for the Region 5-A crown. Both teams are undefeated at 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the region. The Chargers have not won a regional championship since winning back-to-back Region 1-A titles in 1996 and 1997. Meanwhile, Wesleyan is coming off Region 8-A titles in 2008 and 2009, its first of any kind, as well as a state title in 2008. This will be the first-ever meeting for the two teams.

M.L. King at Stephenson

This Friday, the Stephenson Jaguars play the M.L. King Lions at Hallford Stadium for the Region 2-AAAAA championship. Stephenson comes into the game undefeated at 9-0, 6-0 in the region while the Lions are 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the region. A win Friday would give the Jaguars their seventh regional title since 2001. The annual meeting between these two schools has decided the regional champion the last four years. M.L. King's 2007 victory is their only one in the series that dates back to 2006, and that victory allowed them to finish that season undefeated and earn their lone region championship.

Starr's Mill at Griffin

Starr's Mill travels to Griffin this Friday as the two Region 3-AAAA division champs meet for the overall region title in the inaugural region championship game. Both schools are 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the region. The sixth-ranked Bears and the eighth-ranked Panthers have never played before. Both schools were in different regions in previous years, with Starr's Mill playing in Region 4-AAAAA before dropping down to Class 4A, where the Panthers won three regional titles. Griffin is coming off a Region 4-AAAA championship last year, also winning a title in 2006.

Valdosta at Colquitt County

The fifth-ranked Valdosta Wildcats travel to Mack Tharpe Memorial Stadium Friday night to face unranked Colquitt County in a game that will decide the second and third seed for Region 1-AAAAA. Lowndes wrapped up the region championship last Friday night. Valdosta comes into the game with an 8-1 overall record and a 2-1 region record. The Packers are also 2-1 in the region, but have stumbled to a 5-4 record overall. Neither team can capture the regional title if they win as Lowndes holds tiebreaking victories over both schools. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 25-13 and have won eight of 10.

Westminster at Buford

The eighth-ranked Westminster Wildcats travel to Buford Friday night to play the third-ranked Wolves in the Region 6-AA championship game. Buford enters the game at 4-0 in the region and 8-1 overall. Likewise, Westminster is undefeated in region play at 5-0, and their overall record stands at 7-2. Westminster joined the region in 2008, after coming down from Class AAA, and has lost to Buford every year including this year's regular-season meeting. The two schools had not played each other before. Buford had won the region every year from 2001 to 2008 until being dethroned by Lovett last year.

White County at Gainesville

The sixth-ranked Gainesville Red Elephants welcome unranked White County to Bobby Gruhn Field Friday for the Region 8-AAA championship game. Both the Warriors and the Red Elephants are 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the region, with the Warriors' lone loss coming at the hands of Gainesville in their regular season meeting. In fact, Gainesville is 12-1 against White County with the only loss occurring in the 1997 season. This would be White County's first region championship ever, while Gainesville has 12 regional titles in Class 3A to its name, including the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
