The Obama Scholars Program of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund is paid for by the $1.4 million the president got for winning the Nobel Peace Prize last year.
It’s one of 10 organizations sharing the money.
The students get $2,500 a year for two years.
Officials say the program targets juniors studying math, science, technology or engineering who are also interested in teaching.
The winners are Eric Ferguson of the University of Georgia, Rosy Gomez of Emory University and Elizabeth Keilhauer of Georgia College and State University.
About 70 Georgia students applied.
