Georgia Revenue Commissioner Bart Graham delivered a list of state lawmakers who haven't paid their taxes or paid them late to the

chairmen of the House and Senate ethics committees.

Last year 19 lawmakers failed to pay state income taxes.

This year it's fewer, officials say, but the exact number has not been released.

House Ethics Committee Chairman Joe Wilkinson says even one would be too many.

“Zero should be the number and I will not be happy until every member of this chamber pays and files on time," Wilkinson warned.

Last year, lawmakers passed a measure that allows the ethics

committees to investigate and sanction legislators who fail to pay.

their taxes. The names of the legislators are kept confidential.
