Accountability Laws Not for Boards

Updated: 4 years ago.
The Warren County school board met at the local high school recently in its first meeting since learning the school system would lose accreditation.

This year, Governor Sonny Perdue will propose a law that would tame unruly school boards.

The move comes as the Warren County school system will likely lose its accreditation because the school board there can't play by its own rules -- the second system in Georgia, and the first in 40 years in the U.S.

From WACG in Augusta, Mary Ellen Cheatham reports.
