This weekend, mourners in Athens held a memorial for Vic Chesnutt.

The Georgia singer songwriter slipped into a coma last week after overdosing on muscle relaxants. He died on Christmas at the age of 45. Chesnutt, confined to a wheel chair since he was 18, wrote haunting and poignant songs that influenced many mainstream musicians.

WGPB's John Sepulvado has this remembrance.
