Governor Perdue celebrated the launch of Georgia's new drivers' license design Friday during a trip to Augusta.

As of Friday, about half of Georgia's license centers are issuing the new design.

They are harder to counterfeit, and have security features such as ghost photos, a laser-engraved signature over the photo, and barcodes.

Anyone under 21 years old will get a license that's printed vertically.

All current licenses are valid through the expiration date.
