The company declined to say how many employees will lose their jobs or what divisions they work in. A spokeswoman for Kellogg's says it's part of an effort to streamline the company.
The action, ironically, comes as the plant is expanding. The Development Authority of Richmond County reportedly approved $30 million in bond revenue to finance the project on Thursday, the same day the employees learned of their fate.
