Police say the first bus flipped and landed in a ditch around 10am Saturday when the driver lost control while trying to avoid a car moving into its lane
Several band members were hospitalized briefly and released, two were treated at the region’s level 1 trauma center, Grady Hospital.
Vernon Worth is Morehouse College’s chief of police, and says state police will investigate the accident.
“They’ve not released to use the cause of the accident."
The group was headed to rival Albany College where they were slated to perform at a football game. The game was played and Morehouse lost. The college held services Sunday evening for the victims.
