UNDATED  —   Scammers are reportedly targeting North Georgia power customers.

Sawnee EMC says someone has been calling customers asking for their social security and account numbers.

The phony premise is that the federal government is paying up to $350 toward electric bills of low-income people and the elderly.

Sawnee EMC says don’t give out your information, and anyone with questions should call the company at 770-887-2363.
