Today 750-thousand Georgia Catholics have a new stand-in bishop.

Pope Benedict the 16th has named Monsignor Luis Rafael Zarama auxiliary bishop of Atlanta. Zarama will help current Atlanta Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory perform his duties. Savannah is Georgia’s other Catholic diocese.
