As GPB’s Road to the Dome gets closer with every week, we are seeing some very familiar teams reappearing on Friday Night Football; one of those teams is Marist High School.

Marist High is an Catholic School of the Marist Fathers and Brothers. Marist was founded in 1901 and makes it their purpose to share their educational mission with thousands of students and families within the Atlanta areas. Known as the campus that never sleeps, Marist’s student life is full of activities, sports, and clubs. Marist’s fine arts program consists of music, drama, art, and basically anything you can think of. While the athletic programs are made of award winning teams, such as cheerleading, track and field, softball, volleyball, and of course their hard-working football team. Hey!!! Did You Know… that you are never too young to give back to those younger than you! Marist Class of 2014 proves that by raising funds for Reach for Excellence, a tuition-free program hosted by Marist High that assist in the preparation of middle school students’ success in the challenging high school and college preparatory programs. This year, the class of 2014 raised almost $1000! Great Team Work Guys! In addition, the War Eagles were honored as one the nation's top 15 high school athletic programs by Sports Illustrated based on all-around excellence.*

Chattahoochee High School, located in John’s Creek, is the home of the Cougars. This school was established in early 1990’s. Chattahoochee offers their students a variety of different programs of interest that aim to enrich each student’s life and potential career. A Cougar can choose to participant in several career and technical educational programs such as Business and Computer Science, Graphic Design, Marketing, Sales and Services, Transportation and many more. Chattahoochee High School is one of many nationally recognized schools of excellence serving over 1800 students. Chattahoochee High School is a multiple award winning school; being named by US News and World Report and Newsweek as “An Outstanding American High School” in 2005 and also ranked in the top 5% of U.S. high schools by Newsweek Magazine in 2009 on top of many other honors. Hey!!! Did You Know… that Chattahoochee High is full of championship teams! So, special congratulations to the Golf Team, Girls Tennis Team, Competition Cheerleaders, Swim Team, and CHS Debate Team for being State Champions!! Also, a special shout out to the Chattahoochee music and art students who consistently receive prestigious awards at the local, state, and national level.**
