Collins Hill High School will be taking on Woodstock High School this Friday on Collins Hill’s home turf.

This is actually the Eagles' second appearance on GPB’s Football Fridays. Collins Hill is located in Suwanee. The school opened its doors in 1994 with a mission to “pursue excellence in academic knowledge, skills, and behavior by providing meaningful and diverse learning opportunities for preparing their students to meet the challenges of the future as life-long learners and responsible citizens”. Community service and volunteerism plays a major part in the lives of Collins Hill students. CHHS students have the opportunity of volunteer in more than 50 community service activities and have logged in over 27,000 hours per year. For the students that do not participate in the varies community service activities, Collins Hill offers many other ways for students to fulfill their time and offers different ways to help them grow as young adults. Students can participate in boys and girls basketball, soccer, track and field, the marching band and clubs like the Art Club, the Black Heritage Club, and the Creative Writing Club. Hey!! Did You Know… that Collins Hill is one of the largest high schools in the state of Georgia with over 4200 students enrolled. Also did you know that over the past 10 years, the Collins Hill Eagles have won more than 20 team state championships at the AAAAA level, while at the same time many students have won individual state honors as well. Woodstock High School, located in Cherokee County, officially opened its doors in fall of 1996. The Wolverines consist of over 2500 students and 154 teachers. Students have many opportunities to better themselves with an amazing student activities program; where they can be a part of the Wolverines award winning cheerleading squad. If students are not interested in cheerleading, they have the opportunity to choose between baseball, cross country, football, and golf. And for the least athletic types, there is the Academic Clubs, Fine Arts Clubs, SGA, Band, and Drama. Hey!! Did You Know… that the Marching Wolverine Band took home TOP honors by coming in first place during the New Years Eve Chick-Fil-A Parade , scoring 95 out of 100. Amazing Job Marching Band! Special congratulations to the Wolverines’ Girls Varsity Volleyball team for qualifying for the State Tournament this year! Good Luck Ladies! Lets Bring home the GOLD!
