Grayson High School located in Loganville, Georgia is the home to the Mighty Rams whose school motto is “First Comes Learning”. They will be taking on Brookwood High school this Friday on Brookwood’s home turf. As the season winds down and football finals get closer and closer the Rams have shown that they just might be the Kings of the football field this year. I guess we will just have to wait and see. In the meantime, let’s learn some interesting things about the Rams. Grayson High was officially established in 1913 and has done a lot of remodeling over the years. Since opening the school almost a hundred years ago, there have been many constructional additions such as more class rooms, a theatre, a band room and the most unusual structural feather of the school is an actual tunnel leading from the school’s basement to the football field. Hey!!! Did You Know… The original Grayson HS existed where Grayson Elementary currently sits. The school combined with Snellville HS to create South Gwinnett HS in the mid 50's and then reopened at its new campus in 2000, taking its Green & Gold colors and RAM mascot from the original Grayson HS while adding a navy blue accent in honor of its more recent history. Also, did you know that Grayson HS has made AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) for seven consecutive years!

Brookwood High School first opened its doors in 1981; with the goals to forge a community where no other had previously existed, while creating an institution where excellence was the expectation in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Brookwood High; located in Snellville Georgia is the home of the Mighty Maroon and Gold Broncos. Students are given varies choices of extracurricular activities to be involved in such as BETA Club, Drama Club, Dance Club, the Academic Team, International Club, and so many more to choose from. Attending Brookwood High, students are guaranteed to learn something new every day and so should we… Hey!!! Did You Know… that Brookwood High got its name from its physical location? Yes, the school’s name is a combination name from the intersection of Hollybrook Drive and Dogwood Road, where the school is located. Also, Did You Know that Brookwood was named One of America’s best high schools by Newsweek Magazine? Well, considering how Brookwood was recognized by the State Superintendent for their outstanding achievements in Science, math, and social studies, it is very understandable how they became one of the best schools.
