Beat The Heat

We have been trying to beat the heat – best ways to do that so far have been to play Scrabble (inside!). We like to play on the REAL gameboard, not the online version that everyone is so hooked on. We have this cool board that is sort of like a Lazy Susan --- you can spin it rather than the old fashioned kind on the board, where you’d turn it and half your words would fall off. The kids I baby-sit, Annie and Daphne, also took a little photo essay of ways to beat the heat:

1. Jump into a pool
2. Stand in front of these “Cool Zone” fans that are hooked up to water and blow sprays of cool water
3. Eat Slush Puppies!
