GOSPEL, a new film from Henry Louis Gates, Jr., explores the rich history of Black spirituality through sermon and song. From the blues to hip-hop, African Americans have been the driving force of sonic innovation over a century. Musical styles come and go, but there is one sound that has been a constant source of strength, courage, and wisdom from the pulpit to the choir lofts on any given Sunday: the gospel.

Join us for this event featuring clips from the film, discussion with Rev. Dr. Dwight Andrews and Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale, and musical performance by the Morehouse College Glee Club.

Your reservation is kindly requested for this free community event. Paid parking is available in the parking deck inside the main campus entrance.
