America Revealed

America Revealed explores the hidden patterns and rhythms that make America work.

In tonight’s episode at 10pm on GPB, host Yul Kwon visits the Savannah Port exploring innovations in manufacturing. Throughout the series, you will meet the men and women who create the world's best and most iconic products, engineers who are reinventing the American auto industry, steelworkers who brave intense heat to accommodate radical new ideas about recycling and engineers who are re-imagining the microchip.

This quality series has great reach for demonstrating STEM career options to middle and high schoolers. Clips from the series would make for diverse and interesting writing prompts or exercises for economics classes. Ever thoughtful, PBS has built in teacher resources to use in conjunction with the program.

As national leaders and our own governor are calling for increased STEM awareness and job preparation from our students, this program comes at a perfect time. With its multimedia tools and highly approachable format, America Revealed fits the bill for students and educators.
