Jayvian Allen scored three first-half touchdowns and No. 1-ranked Grayson overpowered Collins Hill 38-14 to win the Class 7A championship.

The Rams (14-0) jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead and coasted to the school’s third state championship. Collins Hill (12-3) lost in its first appearance in a championship game.

The Rams scored on a 37-yard pass from Jake Garcia to Jamal Haynes to open the game and Allen followed with touchdown runs of 13, 2 and 3 yards. Garcia hit Myles Woods for a 7-yard score before halftime.

Grayson’s top runners were Joseph Taylor Jr., who carried 15 times for 121 yards, and Sean Downer, who rushed 16 times for 92. Garcia completed 10 of 18 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns and Haynes caught six passes for 114 yards.

Collins Hill quarterback Sam Horn completed 32 of 49 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Hunter caught 11 passes for 100 yards and one touchdown and Clint Gilbert caught eight passes for 88 yards and one touchdown.
