Rome extended its winning streak to 40 games with a 28-14 win over Dutchtown in the Class 5A quarterfinals.

Rome (13-0) became the seventh school in Georgia history to win 40 straight games. The Wolves are the two-time defending state champions.

Rome got first-half scores from Jamious Griffin -- his 37th touchdown of the season -- and another by quarterback Knox Kadum and led 15-0 at halftime.

The Wolves will travel to play Warner Robins in the semifinals, a rematch of last year's championship game.
