Grayson is RAM TOUGH!

With another week of Football Fridays behind us we reflect back on Week 9 with the Grayson Rams hosting the defending champion Brookwood Broncos in key Region 8 5A tussle.

In a very low scoring but exciting game the Rams pull out the victory thanks to 15 yard touchdown interception return by defensive back Kasey Gaines with only 27 seconds to go win the game and clinch the region for the 3rd time in 4 years. The Rams push their unbeaten mark to 9-and oh and are ranked Number 2 behind top-ranked Camden County. The Rams on Friday end the regular season against Central Gwinnett Black Knights. The GPB Sports Blog caught up with Grayson two stars, the aforementioned Kasey Gaines and DE/RB Robert Nkemdiche who scored on a 7-yard TD on the Rams 14-play 78 yard opening drive. Here are their interviews. ENJOY!

This week Football Fridays will again be in Gwinnett County. The North Gwinnett Bulldogs led by one of our favorite coaches in Bob Sphire host the Peachtree Ridge Lions and Mark Fleetwood in a key Region 7 5A showdown.
The winner gets top seed. The game will feature two the state's better running backs in NG's Donnie Miles, and Deandre Atwater. Our coverage starts on GPB/GPB.org in PRIMETIME at 8PM/EDT/5PM/PDT with Mark Harmon, Chrissy Warrilow, Jackie Brittain, Jon Nelson, Coach Dave Hunter, Trey McDaniel, yours truly, and our GREAT technical people. Our web game at GPB.org/sports will be a great one too. Colquitt County battles Valdosta for Region 1 5A supremacy. It should be a GREAT night of football on ALL GPB's media platforms. Remember to join us on Facebook and on Twitter.
