Falcons Ready to Fly in Preseason Week 3 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers

In the GREAT state of Georgia we are blessed to have the Atlanta Falcons for our NFL team which many of the high school players who grace GPB's Friday Night coverage look up to. After watching OUR Prep football coverage Friday night, the Falcons travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game kicks off Saturday night at 7:30PM in Heinz Field.

GPB Sports blog caught up with Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith and starting offensive tackle Tyson Clabo. Now 0-2, Atlanta is in desperate need of a victory in the preseason. With losses to the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Birds look to get into the win column. This is a pivotal week for the Birds as the starters are expected to play through 3 quarters. Atlanta has 86 players on the roster and must cut down to 80 by next Tuesday, and 53 by September 3rd before the NFL regular season opener against the Chicago Bears in Soldier Field.
