Paulding County has reached its lowest unemployment rate since 2008, announced Georgia's Department of Labor spokesman John Ard, as reported in NeighborhoodNewspapers.com.

The county's unemployment rate was 6.3 percent in November - a full percentage point lower than the statewide rate.

Seasonal employment and improved business climate have helped increase the employment rate in Paulding County.

Don Barbour, chairman of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce states, "The overall business climate has improved since the recession. Our membership is on the uptick and we're seeing overall improvements in business confidence and the business and economic outlook" (Neighborhoodnewspapers.com).
