Salad maker, Ready Pac, has announced it will expand operations in Jackson, GA by adding another 50 employees.

The news comes on the heels of a 140 employee expansion this summer.

Governor Nathan Deal said “Ready Pac’s decision to expand operations here for the second time illustrates how our workforce, business climate and other assets make Georgia one of the best places to do business nationwide.”

Ready Pac previously employed 325 full-time workers and 50 part-time workers at its Butts County plant.

According to a report from JacksonProgress-Argus.com, local officials are elated about the announcement of more jobs.

“It was so exciting when Ready Pac decided to expand earlier this year, and the news of additional jobs being created is outstanding,” said Bryan Bush, chairman of the Development Authority of Butts County. “Butts County is grateful for the continued partnership from Ready Pac and the team who helped make this expansion possible.”
