6-Acre Solar Farm Will Soon be Constructed in East Georgia

Ecoplexus, a San Francisco-based solar energy company has announced plans to build a 6-acre solar farm in Sparta, GA.

According to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, The 1MW (megawatt) project in Hancock County is expected to be completed in November, according to a Development of Regional Impact, or DRI filing. Such projects are typically large enough to have an effect on existing infrastructure. Ecoplexus designs, builds, and operates solar facilities for city and state governments, commercial and industrial customers, and utilities. The projects include carports, large urban rooftops, and ground mount tracking systems.

The company has constructed $40 million worth of solar projects to date, creating 20 megawatts of power.
