The Georgia Department of Corrections is holding a Job Fair for U.S. military veterans on April 17.

The event will be held at the National Guard Armory in Glenville, GA from 10am to 2pm.
"The Department was honored with hosting the first law enforcement military job fair with DJJ, GSP, DNR, PAP and GBI at our offices at State Offices South at Tift College," said Commissioner Brian Owens. "It was such a success that we wanted to bring it to other areas around the state."

The Department of Corrections will be joined by the, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Public Safety, Department of Natural Resources, and State Board of Pardons and Paroles, GEO Group and Corrections Corporation of America. Altogether these employers have approximately 800 jobs available for veterans.
