We Went To The SkillsUSA Georgia State Competition And Made a Video About It

The best and the brightest future skilled tradespeople in Georgia met at the SkillsUSA Georgia state competition in March. The event took place over three days and featured a college and career fair, a trade show, as well as the highlight of the event: Competition. Students from around the state competed against one another in various events all centered around specific trades. There was a competition for tile, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, sheet metal, dry wall, welding, and much more.

The winners would move on to the national competition in Lexington, Kentucky later this year, but those who made the state competition are well on their way to future success in Georgia as the need for their talents is immense. We'll have more on the event and some of those who took part later, but we wanted to give you a sense of what this event feels like with a short montage.
