The Home Depot is hiring 1,200 new positions in the Atlanta metro area as part of a major push for more seasonal workers. Spring has already sprung in many places, which means the Atlanta-based retail giant is ramping up its hiring as unlike many companies that expand during the holidays, The Home Depot does so in the spring. 

These postiiosn are seasonal, meaning they're not long-term though they are full-time in many cases. This a great option for students and retirees looking for some extra money—and the pride of work—but these jobs are also a good way to get your foot in the door of a major brand.

Accoridng to AJC.com, more than half of the temporary workers stay and become full-time employees. The careers offered run the gamut at Home Depot, ranging from sales, operations, and cashier roles within all store departments. “There’s no better time to join our team than spring, whether you’re a college student, recent grad or a veteran hoping to build a career, a retiree who wants a fun job, or anyone who simply enjoys home improvement,” Tim Crow, the Atlanta company’s executive vice president of human resources, said in a statement.
