I recently came across an article on Huffington Post wherein the author mused on what songs/artists from the Boomer generation should be on every Millennial's playlist. He did not include the obvious - like Elvis, the Beatles, the Stones, Aretha, Michael Jackson, etc. His top choices were Roy Orbison, Etta James, Little Richard, Joni Mitchell, Al Green and several others.

That got us thinking at Generation Nation. Music is the soundtrack of our lives and each soundtrack is unique. But we have much to learn from each other by sharing our generational soundtracks. We invited the Atlanta Journal and Constitution's music critic, Melissa Ruggieri, to give us her take on what older generation music should be on younger playlists AND we mused on the opposite as well - what Millennial music should we older types be downloading?

Your list is probably different, but all opinions are likely to include some extraordinary music from the 1950s to 2015.

Create your own list and share it with us!
