This is probably the most emotional response to a child’s report card in the history of parents reacting to report cards. And I mean that in a good way! Check out the video “The Day I Passed Math” below created by Aria Shahrokhshahi from the U.K. on YouTube. It captures his father’s reaction to seeing his report card.

Warning it may be a good idea to keep a box of tissues handy.

Aria had been struggling in math but worked hard to pull up his grades from an F to a C. His father Farnoosh told the “Today Show” that he was overjoyed because his son had struggled in math so much.

“He was on an F in September before the exam which was this January,” explains Mr. Shahrokshahi. “And in England, it's very important to get a C. So to go from an F to a C is a huge jump. It's the same as going from a C to a star and I was just overwhelmed. Absolutely overwhelmed!”

The video was taken a year ago and recently posted. It’s amassed more than a million views and trended online.

Aria is currently in college studying cooking and hopes to come to the United States. When asked how he would react if his son ever gets a B in math Mr. Shahrokhshahi replied.

“I’ll have a heart attack.”

If only all parents were this supportive, the world would be a better place.
