Constitution Day is September 17th. A federal law passed as part of an appropriations bill a decade ago mandates the teaching of the Constitution in all schools that receive federal funds. Schools all over the country will observe Constitution Day with lessons this week about the historic document and the rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizens.
