Return to Downton Abbey on TV, Reminisce in Newnan

In December, you’ll get a chance to get a full blown preview of season four of Downton Abbey. While if you’re in Newnan, Ga next week, you can reminisce in person with fellow fans.

We plan to air the Masterpiece special Return to Downton Abbey in early December. (Check the schedule for specific dates and times.) Hosted by Susan Sarandon, it is being dubbed a “tantalizing taste” of the new season. Judging from the clips I’ve previewed on this blog, season four will be mesmerizing.

The special combines behind-the-scenes-footage, clips of favorite moments and interviews with cast members. Expect to get commentary from Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter and Shirley MacLaine. Other stars will chime in too. The new season of Downton Abbey starts January 5, 2014

Reminisce in Newnan

Remember the splendor or Matthew and Mary’s wedding and poor Edith being ditched at the altar? If you are in Newnan, Ga next week, pack a sack lunch and head to the Newnan Carnegie Library to relive those moments with other fans. Season 3 episodes one and two are being shown there on Wednesday, October 16 at 12 p.m. Drinks and desserts will be served. Registration is required though. Call 770-683-1347 to RSVP.
