More than just moviemaking: Trilith announces entertainment complex grand opening, live show lineup

Trilith is expanding its footprint in the South Atlanta metro with the completion of Trilith Live, a 530,000-square-foot entertainment complex. The development is part of a 235-acre planned community in Fayetteville that includes housing, shopping and recreation.

The grand opening of Trilith Live will start with the district’s first entertainment season. The Trilith Live campus includes a nine-screen movie theater, a new performance venue, a massive community plaza, and a church. 

The plaza is a 51,000-square-foot space open to the public and designed for outdoor events such as festivals. Indoor events will be hosted at The Box, a new venue for concerts, conventions, and banquets that can hold up to 2,800 people.

Matt McClain is the executive director of Trilith Live. He said they designed The Box to make amenities easily accessible to guests.

“We have tons of restroom facilities, tons of concession facilities to hopefully help that guests have a very short wait or no wait in lines, so we're really excited about that,” McClain said.

The facility first broke ground in January 2023 and work wrapped up in December 2025. The campus is expected to have a major economic impact on the area.

McClain said the are has already seen a sample of how much business live shows will bring with the tours that visited the area in 2025. 

“Just at the local Trilith Guest House hotel here we did over 3,300 hotel room nights in 2025,” he said. “That was just a small snippet of what Trilith Live is going to bring to the table from an economic standpoint. Hundreds of jobs [were] created with this venue as we just wrapped up some part-time hiring and some full-time hiring as we get ready to really open up our venue to the public.”

The first show at The Box will be the Gabby's Dollhouse national tour. A full list of events is available on the Trilith Live website.

The Town at Trilith consists of 1,350 single and multifamily homes, developed and managed with Trilith Studios to service the entertainment industry.
