Newly released dash cam footage in Dalton, Ga., shows the mistaken arrest of a 19-year-old college student from Mexico. Although local police dropped all charges, she remained in ICE custody and now faces possible deportation.

A Brunswick angler reeled in a 400-pound goliath grouper right off the beach at St. Simons Island. He caught it, released it, and walked away with one heck of a fish story.

Crews in Savannah began disassembling the city's iconic Forsyth Park fountain — the first step in a major restoration of the antebellum landmark to help return the fixture to its full glory.

 

Meteorite that crashes through Georgia home is older than Earth!

A fireball lit up the sky over Georgia on June 26, and part of it landed in a Henry County home. University of Georgia scientists studied it and say it not only has a name, it’s also older than Earth itself. 

 

CDC staffers stage walkout 

Staffers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention staged a walkout following the Trump administration’s firing of then-director Susan Monarez. Her lawyers say she was never formally notified. Employees also held a clap out for three of the four other senior leaders who resigned this week.
